About the Original
Originally composed during a playful moment in the studio, Oysters on Ice was captured as the artist adjusted one of the oysters with brass tweezers. The result is a striking, high-gloss photograph that merges still life with process, offering a rare glimpse into the act of making. Each oyster is handmade using Baroque freshwater pearls, blister pearls and glass seed beads—stitched and layered into a sculptural form. The clarity of the photo captures every texture and nuance, elevated further by the glossy finish that gives the image a vivid, almost tactile presence.
